School Events Information Page
Our school trips and workshops are funded with the help of parental contributions. At The Downs CEP School we aim to keep the cost of these trips and workshops as low as possible by raising money through various events.
The Downs CEP School also has a diverse Enhance Curriculum which includes our lovely school pets. These fundraising events help to maintain and support our Enhanced Curriculum.
We are always in need to help and donations for our events. If you are able to help in any way please give the school office a call or an email. Many thanks.

If you would like to book a pitch at either our school Summer or Christmas Fayre the cost is a £10 a stall. Please email or secretary@downs.kent.sch.uk or call 01304 372486 to reserve your space.
This year we are lucky to have prizes donated by some our of local attractions and businesses!
Deal and Walmer Grant
Our PTA have been lucky enough to be awarded some money from Deal Town Council and Walmer Parish Council to create a sensory area in our school. This area can be enjoyed by all our children and we hope our parents/carers/families will visit this area when they are onsite.
We now have our Enhanced Curriculum up and running which is lead by Mr Thrower. Mr Thrower co-ordinates small groups of children to work, learn and enjoy every aspect of this area. The children have enjoyed watching, feeding and learning about the fish in our pond. They have planted seeds which are now growing into vegetables, fruits, flowers and herbs. The area has been such a beneficial addition to our school.
