At The Downs CEP School, we teach computing skills in years 1-6 through high quality computing lessons using the Purple Mash scheme of work. The scheme has been designed in a way that the promotes consolidation of knowledge and deepening understanding over time.
The computing curriculum is constantly changing and adapting to keep up with the ever-changing technological world and builds in opportunities and inspiration for every child regardless of gender or background.
Through online safety lessons, the children build on their skills and understanding but also develop their moral compass to ensure they become safe and knowledgeable citizens of the online world.
